What does this mean?
Hospice of Peace announced today (March 25, 2024) that it has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for hospice accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care. “Earning national accreditation from The Joint Commission is an accomplishment that truly reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to providing the highest level of care to our patients, The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® indicates that a healthcare organization has met or exceeded federal Medicare requirements to ensure safe and high quality care for all patients. Hospice of Peace (2023) underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite reviews last month. During the visit, a team of specially-trained Joint Commission surveyors evaluated compliance with hospice and health care standards spanning several areas, including medication management, emergency management, environment of care, and infection prevention and control. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews with staff. The Joint Commission’s hospice standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts, hospice providers and researchers, as well as industry experts, purchasers and consumers. The standards are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help organizations measure, assess and improve performance. ​ About The Joint Commission Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Mudit Dabral, MD
Medical Director

Dr. Mudit Dabral, MD is a hospice & palliative medicine specialist in Orange, CA and has over 45 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from MLN Med Coll-Allahabad University in 1978. He is affiliated with UCI Medical Center.
Mario Curti, MD
Hospice Physician Designee

Dr. Mario Curti, M.D. is a board-certified hematologist – oncologist.
Dr. Curti graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington CT. He is board certified in hematology and medical oncology.
Ky Minh Tran, MD
Hospice Physician Designee

Dr. Ky Tran pursued his internal medicine career in the prism of service to the community, and to work with the frail and weak towards a healthier life. Dr. Tran strives to advocate living a healthy lifestyle while his patients are young, while transitioning medical needs as they age.
Care Through Our Expert Specialists
Remains the patient’s primary care physician and works as part of the hospice team.
Attending Physician
Medical Director
Certifies the attending physician’s prognosis, leads the hospice team in developing a plan of care, and provides consultation to a physician.
Registered Nurse
Evaluates the patient’s condition during regularly scheduled visits. Coordinates the plan of care and teaches the family about proper patient care, the use of medication, and pain management.
Medical Social Services
Evaluates the patient’s condition during regularly scheduled visits. Coordinates the plan of care and teaches the family about proper patient care, the use of medication, and pain management.
Spiritual Counseling
Evaluates the patient’s condition during regularly scheduled visits. Coordinates the plan of care and teaches the family about proper patient care, the use of medication, and pain management.
Trained Volunteers
Provide non-medical friendly visits and respite to patients and families. They give needed emotional support and encouragement.
